National Punctuation Day

The National Punctuation Day site also includes helpful rules and examples, as well as a few fun asides. Visitors are encouraged to submit photos of punctuation errors, and one link even directs you to a recipe for the official National Punctuation Day question-mark-shaped meatloaf! All that fun got me wondering if there might be a Schoolhouse Rock song about punctuation, so Chris and I started searching. We found a video of the song ‘Interjections!’, which featured a lot of exclamation points, and watched it just in time to make an interjection of our own: Chris screamed “F%*@!” earlier this evening when he accidentally stabbed himself in the thumb with a Swiss Army Knife. One trip to the emergency room and three stitches later, it’s 2:30 in the morning and we’re getting to bed a little late. I guess it’s a good thing it wasn’t National Punctuality Day.

Tomorrow we will turn our focus toward individuals living with ataxia, in observance of International Ataxia Awareness Day.
