  1. I do the same thing with quotes. I may even say “Fred asked how?”. TWO punctuations! One for the quote, and one for the sentence containing the quote. But yea, the default rule just doesn’t parse logically. It does look better for print; I think it’s a bit more readable. But screw it.

    Ellipses are a rule breaker to begin with, I don’t think they should govern them like that. Just please use three separate “.” characters, and not the single-character-ellipse, that thing is pure evil.
