  1. I think you’re confusing not being aware of vegetarianism with it not existing. It’s by no means a new thing.

    The problem with bird feeders is the bird seed attracts rats and mice. We filled ours once and within 6 hrs you could open the door and 5-10 mice and rats would scurry away, every time. Guess the creek helps with that.

    Y’all should eat one of those turkey buzzards. It’s way more humane than buying it at the store :) Cheaper too :)

  2. Way to rally! When I saw you had the stomach flu on Facebook, I wondered if there would be a post today.

    I have a strong affection for turkey buzzards as well. Because they were so prominent in Occoquan, seeing one floating peacefully in the air is always a bit nostalgic for me.

  3. Update: it’s been a few days and the bird feeder is a huge success. Yesterday and this morning I watched through the large picture window in our kitchen as throngs of birds swarmed around the feeder, both in the tree and on the ground. They’re so fun to watch!
