  2. Man, I’d never make my wife drive back to get me for my mistake. I’d taxi on my own dollar. Not that I’d ever make such a mistake, cause I hate public transportation. For reasons like this.

  3. I didn’t MAKE her drive back to get me. Financially it made MUCH more sense than taking a taxi to Stafford, which would probably cost close to $100. It’s completely bogus to call it my mistake too. The VRE’s website had no mention of them not operating last Friday. It is even listed how to read their schedules to see if a train is not running for the holiday, still their site stated that they were operating on a regular schedule. It wasn’t until I got to the train station and saw a sign they had posted that I knew. The mistake falls on VRE for not publicizing information that potentially impacts hundreds, if not thousands, of peoples commute.
