  1. An utterly pointless and environmentally destructive tradition. A whole stadium of paper. It made sense once upon a time, when that was the only way to communicate with someone. Now it is pure unnecessarily consumer environmental rape. Every christmas card is redundant – it doesn’t say anything the person couldn’t say to me on the phone or email. In fact, they usually contain such a generic message that it doesn’t count as saying anything. It’s just parroting. If one of us gets one the other often does not even look at it because we know they don’t really say anything or represent anything unique.
