  1. Our elementary schools never had Macs, they had Apple2s, back when Apple was good. When you were in elementary school, I was in middle and high school – they would have gotten the macs first, were there any, but no, they were all Apple 2s, not Macs.

  2. Also, if you’re having to back up all your data in order to do an OS re-install, you’re doing it wrong. And by wrong, I mean more effort than necessary. I’ve formatted an already used harddrive twice in my life..and once was for using an OS beta 2 years before it came out (I ran Win95 in 1993 on a compressed drive, not cool).

  3. We didn’t HAVE to back up anything before intalling the new OS. I just went ahead and backed up all Britt’s pictures and a few other things just because I knew I probably wouldn’t get around to doing it any other time if I didn’t do it then.
